1981 Mazda RX-7 Series 2

Mazda RX 7 1981 series 2 Tarmac Rally car.
I am the 3rd registered owner of this vehicle, The first being the dealer principals wife from Toyota Lismore, Then the elderly couple I purchased the car from in 2009 where it has sat in there barn for a number of years after the grandson blew the motor.

I purchased the vehicle with the sole purpose of building it into a classic Tarmac rally car. Which I did and have been racing it ever since. During COVID I rebuilt the entire car with the plans of doing one more full season. Alas that wasn’t to be and I have decided to retire from Rallying. In preparation the vehicle had the motor rebuilt, band new dogbox inside a series 4 rx7 casing. Rear diff inspected along with,
New tailshaft.
New brakes and rotors
New electric Fan
New fuel pumps and surge tank
New light weight battery.
New wheel bearings.
New alternator.
New Starter motor.
All of this at considerable cost as I pay for everything not being that mechanical minded.
The new owner has TWO options with this car.
Option 1. Purchase the car and continue racing it.
Option 2 Restore this vehicle back to its original condition.
As I purchased this vehicle in perfect original condition it comes with every original component. All has been dried stored for the last 13years. Seats have no tears, hood lining dash all perfect. The original 12a was rebuilt by Rotary motor sports Brisbane and used in 2 events until rules changes allowed the use of a 13b motor. Original gearbox has also been rebuilt and used for a period of time until upgraded to a second gearbox with close ratio gears. (There are 3 complete gearboxes in total) all good.
Along with the original parts and interior, this car comes with literally a truck full of spares. Most of which are becoming rare. I’m not listing it all here, but includes panels and a complete front cut in dry storage. To replace would be costly.
Nothing will be separated. Who ever purchases this car, takes the lot.
