2005 Subaru Spec C – PBMS ex-Cody Crocker 2005 ARC Championship-winning car

A rare opportunity to own a piece of rally history. This car was built for Factory Subaru Rally Australia by Possum Bourne Motorsport in New Zealand for Cody Crocker’s 2005 ARC campaign, where it dominated almost every round and secured the championship. Known as CNC930, it is one of the most successful Group N rally cars of its time.

Cody Crocker described it as “possibly the best Group N car I drove.” It also won Group N at the 2005 WRC Rally of New Zealand and competed in Targa Tasmania 2006, driven by Dean Herridge. After its factory campaign, the car was sold by Subaru and continued its success under Craig Brooks in Tasmania, winning two Tasmanian Rally Championships. I am the 4th owner in 20 years.

This car is fully equipped with every high-end component, including:

The car has been tuned by Dean at Ravage Raceworks on E85, producing 211kW at the hubs at 4700RPM and 427NM. The engine was built by Peter Nunn at Nunn Sport in Tasmania, and the car has been meticulously maintained, currently undergoing prep work at Nunn Sport to be rally-ready upon sale.

A huge spares package is included, featuring the original super lightweight carbon Sparco seats from Cody and Dale, the original steering wheel, Dry Break drum pump and breather, plus a variety of parts including a spare fresh turbo with restrictor and dump pipe, multiple new exhausts, springs, bonnet, guards, bumpers, headlights, suspension and steering components, front and rear hubs, headlight pod, fog light covers, driveshafts plus much much more, literally boxes full.

Comes with full homologation paperwork from Subaru, event setup history, logbook, and all original documentation.

In my ownership, the car has competed in approximately four rallies, mostly one-day events. Before that, it was refreshed with new paint, rebuilt shocks, fresh engine, then stored for a few years, meaning most components are still in excellent condition. All receipts from the past six years are available.

Selling as this car to good for me. With the right driver, it is a clear PRC championship contender and a top 10 ARC contender.
