Van Diemen FG, Mitsubishi 4G63 2 litre NA engine, Hewland 5 speed transaxle. Built 1991 for Japanese one make Shimzu Cup series, essentially a Van Diemen Formula 2000 modified for the 4G63 engine. Chassis Number 6316. This highly original Elfin ran as both a 1500 (ANF2) and a FJ as noted on the Certificate of Description. Currently fitted with a dry sump 1500cc modified Ford Cortina engine and VW based gearbox but could run as a FJ. Originally owned and raced by Jack Hunnam, the Elfin agent in Victoria. A true piece of post-war motorsport history, this 1949 Marwyn 500 JAP is believed to be the most original surviving example of its kind anywhere in the world.
