1960 Lotus 18 Formula Junior Frame 987193. body plate 18/J/789 (attached to car). Sold in batch of six too Raper Rodriguez. raced by A Álvarez in 1961 in support race to the 1961 Grand Prix. Copy of race program available. History thereafter hazy but Bill Jowarski , Don Hamilton and Burt Kurtis (1980) seems to have owned/raced in USA. This car is a BMW M8 (original e31) tribute car. It is a RHD race car which was rebuilt from an 850CSi originally raced in the UK Substantially upgraded, repainted to ‘Hellrot’ and rebuild by RaceFx at Hampton Downs over two years, to replicate the unique e31 M8. Full cost of makeover at $300K+ ( not including the cost of the car).
