This McLaren M10B was originally a spare tub for New Zealand Grand Prix winner the late Neil Allen after initially being crashed. After being sent back to Trojan for repair and returned, Allen would sell the tub and spare parts to Porsche ace Alan Hamilton who built the tub into a complete car. Entering the Australian Drivers Championship in 1971 Hamilton came 3rd Australian Grand Prix and was equal 2nd in Gold Star Championship with Kevin Bartlett (who owner the sister car Neil Allen car)

The Mildren was one of seven cars built between 1969 and 1971 to the Rennmax BN3 design.
