This striking Daytona Coupe offered here is a rare and compelling piece of motorsport engineering, built on an extensively modified Factory Five chassis, with floor sections lowered by 50mm to increase headroom, enlarged cabin area, multiple layers of side and frontal impact protection, enlarged footwells with RHS frame sections added in conjunction with increased chassis down tubes which combined increase torsional stiffness by around 300% above standard. This car was built by Bob Britton, possibly prior to 1990. The original coupe body shell was modified by Charles Haynes and the car set up for motorsport. The engine is a Toyota 4age 20 valve 1.6 litre with Microtech ECU. I enjoyed running the car with the Golden Era Auto Racing club at Wakefield Park up until the pandemic in 2020.
