Ideal start for your track project. The BMW is in very good condition rust and damage free. It needs an engine rebuild with suspected rod bearing damage. Rebuild it or engine swap. Car is in Newcastle and whilst it runs it will need to be towed.

I purchased with the idea of building a race car but I already have too many other cars and projects. Written off (stat write off) due to some basic damage to the rear quarter panel, some suspension arms and a wheel. Both the guard and the suspension arms have been repaired as shown. I'm happy to share the progress photos of the repair to the quarter panel but it was just from a car park fender bender and was nothing considerable at all. (refer to last photo) May 2023 build date. This BMW race car was built to a very high standard by Karl Begg in 2016, and then subsequently maintained and improved by Garth Walden and his gun team at GWR Australia continuously since my purchase from KB in 2017. Car has had an easy run under my ownership, competing only in the NSW PTC state championship from 2018 through to 2023 - with reduced appearances in the Covid affected years. This is a 2008 BMW M3 in fantastic condition, it is an English import by the previous owner, who imported the car but without an import approval. As such he was given 3 options by the department of infrastructure, re-export the car, have it crushed, or import it as a race car. As the owner did not have a race car licence, he sold it to me and I imported it as a race car – the vehicle has NEVER been on a race track (YET).
